COLORADO BUSINESS IN ETHICS ALLIANCE (CEBA)
COMMITTEE OVERVIEW 04/05
The Colorado Ethics in Business Alliance (CEBA) is a 501C3 organization whose mission is to promote ethical business conduct for the benefit of the workplace, the marketplace, the environment, and the community. CEBA has been in existence since 1989, with a focus on recognizing individuals, non-profits, and companies that are operating ethically in Colorado via an annual awards program. In light of recent questionable business practices (e.g. Enron, Worldcom), CEBA recognizes an opportunity to provide more products/services to its audience, the Colorado public.
Therefore, CEBA is in the process of transitioning itself into an organization that continues to offer the awards program but also provides additional products/services (e.g. education, accredited courses, hot lines to ask ethically oriented questions, chat rooms to discuss ethically oriented issues, assessments tools, ethics indices). CEBA has recently completed its Strategic Plan and has identified a new organization made up of individual committees that will work in an integrated fashion. The Chairs for these committees have already been selected and we are in the process of identifying individual volunteers to support these Chairs in accomplishing each committee’s objective.
If, after reading the committee descriptions below, you would like additional information about volunteering with CEBA, please contact the committee chairperson as indicated.
